Welcome to Valley State Bank!

Valley State Bank is an independent bank chartered by the State of Alabama on April 4, 1985. Valley State Bank is locally owned and operated. Since its inception, the bank's primary mission has been to serve the financial needs of Russellville as well as Franklin and Colbert Counties.

The present building that houses its main office was occupied in April, 1988. This building was designed to fully meet the needs of the bank for many years. In 1990, the Bank formed Valley Bancshares, Inc. as a holding company. This action was taken to allow Valley State Bank to provide financial services which were not possible within its original charter.

In August 1993, Valley State Bank established a branch in neighboring Littleville and began serving Colbert County. In September 2001, Valley State Bank established a branch located on North Jackson in downtown Russellville. In 2007 we added a full service branch in Red Bay.

In the year 2012 our total assets reached $124 million.

Times and technology are rapidly changing and we plan to keep abreast of these changes and offer to our customers the best products available.  We have added ATM and Debit Cards to our products.
